I recently used Puran File Recovery to restore some files that had been accidentally deleted from my computer. The software was very easy to use, and I was able to quickly scan my hard drive and find the files that I needed to recover. The software also gave me detailed information about the condition of the files, and I was able to choose which ones to restore. I was very pleased with the results, and I would definitely recommend this software to anyone who needs to recover deleted or corrupted files.
Puran File Recovery is an application that helps you retrieve the files you deleted accidentally. It claims to be able to recover lost files from any storage medium, including computer hard disks, CDs and DVDs, sticks, memory cards, and mobile phones.
The program interface won't impress you much. It is just simple and intuitive, features that make it suited for any user, regardless of the computer knowledge one may have. However, if you encounter problems understanding how the tool works, the Help menu will definitely give you the proper assistance, since it is comprehensive and can be read offline.
The moment you open the app, it scans your computer for drives and gives you information about the free space left on each partition in relation to the total storing space.
The file recovery process starts by selecting the partition you intend to scan. The scanning process doesn't last long – however, it depends on the size of the partition storing the files you've lost. Once the scan is over, the program shows you the files that can be recovered, along with information about their condition. This way, you will see at a glance if the files' condition is good or, on the contrary, poor, rendering the recovery process almost impossible to succeed.
The app comes with a preview option, so that you can see on the spot if the resulting files are really the ones you were looking for. In case you don't find the items you expected to retrieve, you can enable a deep scan. This process implies a thorough search and, therefore, it takes a larger amount of time until completion. To reduce the searching area, you can go to Scan List and select the file extensions you wish to retrieve, leaving the rest unselected.
The program works fine and the searching results are good. I succeeded to recover even files that were in poor condition. Still, I would have liked to be able to pause the scan when the process slows my computer down, and resume it at a later time.
